When I Was Only Sixteen…

When I was sixteen I decided to make a path for myself. My family didn’t have money wearing Umbros in the Winter and ended up losing my virginity behind the home plate of the baseball diamond at dusk on the elementary school property I was raised in. In a house with no heat, three children to care for and no lunch money in my pocket, life always felt like a difficult struggle. I remember staring with envy as my classmates purchased the trendy gifts at the school gift-shop for Christmas.

I could look around a bowl for a hair-cut and I would use the pain from discontentment. My parents making bad decisions who they’d support, if anything I was presented as a victim from the start. But then I got loud. I got loud behind a device I could busy my frustrations with and become fearless.

Rather than sell my services around the neighborhood I found myself finishing sibling’s chores and shedding time playing sports and guitars and watching terrible loads of TV. Brainwashed me, wasn’t too far away from leaving. Any chance. Any chance I could get.

But I was obsessed with apporval from my parents. For whatever reason, and for whatever little good that did. I could do it. It wouldn’t be the prettiest — my grades weren’t that great. But being excellent was about being well-rounded. College was another opportunity I could achieve something useful.

I performed poorly, however, I got what I came for: incredible relationships. Being stronger than I’ve ever been physically, I walked on the basketball team my senior year. It was something I had to do, but shortly thereafter I was diagnosed with a chronic, medical condition.

That life I knew of emptiness and abuse was overcome when I trailed off to pursue my dream of being an actor and musician. I discovered the benefits of holistic health practices, founded an LLC. and actually developed trainings and coaching regiments through the wide-scope of materials, mentors, and meditation applications.

California completely changed my life around. I was free. For myself. No regrets walking runways, fashion modeling, writing movies, acting in movies, and business and personal development platform trainings were experiences that will be cherished and last a lifetime.

In life, regardless of our circumstances, it is important to be aware of the possibility that exists and that by choosing the gift, life can become a real eye-awakening miracle.
